Christmas came and went like a hurricane. There was an enormous amount of housework that only escalated as the big day drew near. My back pain didn’t get any worse but it made no sense to do nothing until it magically went away so on Friday, I completed Fitsugar’s Flow Yoga workout with Ursula Vari. It’s a very short workout but quite effective and stretched all the right muscles. The next day I relaxed a bit because Sunday was going to be a busy day. I spent most of it cleaning/organising and doing a sizeable hill of laundry. On Christmas Eve, some important home repair work was done then I spent most of the day cleaning up its aftermath. I wasn’t really sore when it was all done but very, very tired. By the Grace of God, all the work was done in time to hang out with my neighbours for a firepit/hot cocoa/sing-along lime. A fabulous dinner was the perfect way to top off a long but successful day.
I quite enjoyed Christmas Day with my family although it’s bittersweet since we’re not all together. However, we made the most of it. There were a number of very cool gifts including an Iron Gym Total Upper Body Workout Bar – Extreme Edition. It’s something I always wanted and can’t wait to weave it into my routine. My sinuses have acted up over the past couple days which made me very tired and groggy. However, I’m looking forward to getting back to my routine from Boxing Day. It’s been so cold that I haven’t been drinking my usual quota of water. This is bad and quite frankly, I feel dry. This is something to remedy as soon as possible. My main goal over the next two weeks is to get used to running in cold weather. This is the only way to maintain or improve my body during the cold months, in addition to the Daytona 5K. A friend reminded me once again of the difficult conditions but I prefer to see it as a grand challenge. Do you guys think I’m crazy? These were My Fitness Revolution: Days 420 to 424. No retreat, no surrender and no excuses!
