Fitness Revolution: Day 86

Today was a good day for the fitness revolution.  I had to chip in with some vacuuming which was no big deal and gave me a head start working on these ham hocks I call arms.  Anyway, the stretches went well and who couldn’t have a good time jumping weighted rope to The Prodigy?  Apparently everything you do on a treadmill is harder when there’s an incline of 1.0+ and I like it.  I was growling to finish the arm movements but still got them done.  My sister chatted with me for a couple minutes then watched my forms for the floor exercises afterwards.

Then came time for the last exercise: the GI Jane two-handed push-ups.  Mother, father, tantie, nennen – talk about pain!  I only managed three but they were executed perfectly.  This was a bit disappointing as I was hoping for five but three is better than one.  I put Absorbine Jr. all over before a hot shower.  My muscles are a bit stiff now so I’ll take it easy tomorrow.  Unless something else comes up, I’m going to continue with the same routine tomorrow.  No retreat, no surrender and no excuses!
