My Fitness Revolution: Day 278

AEROBICS; BEACH; EXERCISES; FOT-DVD-2007-028; IOLA; MARIANA; MODELING; RIGEL; TURQUIOSE; cayo borracho; spa; Is there a better way to start a new month than with an outside run?  Not for me.  I plugged into the Nike+ Running app, fired up Robert Ullrey’s Couch to 5K podcast program (Week 5, Day 2) and took off.  Today, I had two eight-minute run intervals mixed with 5-minute walks.  The first run was a bit tough but the second one was much better.  I didn’t take any water with me and hung out with some friends before going home.  This was the most fun I’ve had on a run.  The weather was perfect and I was able to focus on what I needed to do, without much internal debate.

Clear your mind of can'tAt home, I completed the Arm Circuit with Holly Perkins using 5lb hand weights and handled all the movements well except for the Side Raise Hold.  It was almost impossible to do, and this is an exercise I never had any real problems with.  I don’t know why it’s been such a problem lately nor do I have a clue on how to fix it.  Hopefully, it’ll sort out itself soon. Holly’s Sports Cool Down has been an amazing routine for my calf muscles.  There’s been little or no pain since I started ending my running workouts with it.  My next run will be a non-stop twenty minute run, and I can’t wait.  No retreat, no surrender and no excuses!
