Don’t ask me why but it was very hard to get motivated today. Then again, rainy weather encourages nothing but snacking and napping. However, I made a schedule and intended to keep it. I started out with a couple minutes of jump rope before getting onto the treadmill. It was an interval run for thirty-five minutes with a maximum speed of 5 mph and at an incline of 1.0. The little tilt made the running part a tiny bit arduous but ultimately quite invigorating. In fact, my energy level was so high that I was eager to do some more but settled for thirty walking lunges with 8lb weights. That is a pretty simple exercise that usually takes a lot of effort. In all it was a productive day and I’m looking forward to trying out a new workout tomorrow. No retreat, no surrender and no excuses!
