The usual dilemma reared its ugly head: will this week’s first workout be a run or floor routine? Despite the cloudy skies, I took to the street for a brisk-ish walk. It was very humid and that made for more sweat than strain. I decided to follow up with another attempt at the Fitsugar Bikini Abs in 10 Minutes, Teddy Bass Workout video. Maybe I was better prepared this time but although the exercises weren’t easy (by any stretch of the imagination), I wasn’t collapsing quite as much. I never could have imagined that planking was the toughest gut buster exercise I’ve ever done in my life but boy is it effective! The evening’s activities were finished off with the ten-minute Yoga Energizer workout from Holly Perkins’ Fitness 360 DVD. Using the exercise mat made a huge difference as opposed to doing poses on carpet, which was surprisingly slippery. Now I can’t wait to break out my weights tomorrow. No retreat, no surrender and no excuses!
