My body is still getting used to the longer runs but I don’t want to decrease momentum just yet, so I rested my legs as much as possible this day. I intended to do a double workout from Holly Perkins’ Fitness 360 DVD. However, I didn’t get started until very late and had to alter my plans. Instead of doing two longer workouts from the DVD, I settled for a longer one and a shorter one. Firstly I completed Cardio 360 using the 8lb weights. I had to take a couple breaks for water but managed pretty well. It’s a really good workout but in order to follow up with Total Tone 360, I’d require time, proper hydration and fuel. Unfortunately for me, the lack of time trumped the other factors. However, it didn’t feel right to end the night’s activities there.
Thankfully, the Yoga Energizer is only ten minutes long and seamlessly combined stretches for sore muscles with challenge for increased flexibility. After earnestly trying the Custom Flow Yoga Series for Burning Calories with Ursula Vari on Day 358, I was rather lithe for the various poses. That’s just as essential as increased strength and stamina. There’s a motivational poster that says, “Change is felt before it’s seen.” I feel better this week than I have in a long time. I’m not where I want to be yet, but I’m much closer than I ever thought I would be. It’s onwards and upwards from here on out. No retreat, no surrender and no excuses!
