I will never forget my first form PE class at Naparima Girls’ High School.  Our dominatrix teacher, Mrs. Henry would make us all do a thirteen-minute run.  There were tears, vomit and pain but we all had to do it.  This was the line, the wall to be broken down.  On Day 215, that wall was obliterated forever when I finished Week 5 of Robert Ullrey’s C25K podcast with its twenty-minute run.  It was hard and took me to my very breaking point, but I pushed past it.  There was some muscle soreness but about an hour later, I was quite exhilarated.  This was a huge milestone, and I’m excited to start Week 6.  In addition, the rest day on Day 216 would have been well-deserved. The Biofreeze Pain Relieving Gel has been a big help.  On Days 212 and 214, there was The Jane Fonda Workout Record (1982) along with the Arm Circuit with Holly Perkins.  I’m starting to cope better with the 5lb hand weights and speaking of weights.  I had promised to weigh myself on June 1st.  Gleefully, I can report that there has been weight loss.  There’s still a way to go and I have no intention of slowing down.  However, this is proof that weight loss comes with an increased fitness level.  Slow and steady can win this race.  No retreat, no surrender and no excuses!
