My Fitness Revolution: Days 245 to 247

The past few days have been a bit difficult because I haven’t been sleeping well.  Luckily, I did get some recovery rest and was able to keep up with the workouts.  On Day 245, I pushed myself to do The Jane Fonda Workout Record (1982) and Arm Circuit with Holly Perkins using 5lb weights.  However, afterwards I showered and had a very good nap.  On Day 246, I continued Week 9 of Robert’s Ullrey C25K podcast.  I tried not to look at the treadmill display, in order to decrease my dependence on it, but not with too much success.  It’s just an attempt to change my mental state and not fight against my own negativity.  It always pops up after about fifteen minutes.  There’s no physical pain but an inexplicable desire to walk instead of run.  Then I spend the next ten to fifteen minutes in heated battle against that temptation.  It all happens in my head and I need to fix that.

On Day 247, I didn’t have time to do my usual non-running routines and tried another Holly Perkins FitSugar video for a Total-Body Ten-Minute Workout.  By half-way through, I was sweaty and breathing hard.  I’ll definitely find a way to do this more often, just because it was so demanding.  Right now, I’m very excited for my next run because it will mark the end of the C25K program.  As I’ve mentioned before, this is a major milestone for me and I’m anxious to get to work on the next one.  No retreat, no surrender and no excuses!
