My Fitness Revolution: Days 273, 275 to 277

I mixed up my fitness days with the last post.  It’s been amended but I’ll try to double-check my dates in future.  Day 273 was actually a non-running workout with Jane Fonda and Holly Perkins.  I used the Resistance Tube and 5lb weights.  Usually, I’ll pause the workout video to drink a sip of water and take a quick breather before getting back into it.  That’s the benefit of working out at home.  However, taking a moment doesn’t mean stopping altogether.  We must push ourselves to finish the whole thing.  On Days 275 and 277, I just used the weights and handled the exercises better; except for the Side Raise Hold.  From the moment used the resistance tube, that particular one has been very difficult.  I don’t know why but hopefully I’ll be back to form soon.  On the plus side, my arms have never, ever been this toned and I used to do push-ups every single day.  Weights have made all the difference.

On Day 276, I ended up cracking out 2.5 miles on the treadmill.  That’s according to the Nike+ Running app anyway.  The treadmill said that it was 2.095 miles.  However, I’m inclined to believe the app since it correctly measured 0.8 miles from my road run that matched our odometer.  Anyway, it was a very hot half-hour in the garage and felt great.  The Holly Perkins Sports Cool Down video has worked wonders for my leg muscles.  The calves don’t hurt nearly as much and I haven’t had to use too much liniment.  After the run, I completed the arm circuit and cool down.  This week I fit into another article of clothing that was way too tight for me a few months ago. That’s more than mere encouragement but sweet victory.  No retreat, no surrender and no excuses!

Holding this Side Raise Hold for
a minute is very, very difficult.
