My Fitness Revolution: Days 279 to 282

I wanted to concentrate on stretching and resting my muscles for the past few days.  My last run was so good that I didn’t want to rush into the next one.  Days 279 and 281 were non-running workouts, while on Days 280 and 282 were for rest.  It’s been rather pleasant choosing to take a day off instead of being forced to because of muscle stiffness.  The big reason for that is Holly Perkins’ Sports Cool Down video.  Her stretches hit all the right muscles and gently loosens them up.  I’d actually say the calf muscle stiffness has gone from about 65% to less than 1%, without use of any liniment or painkillers.  Amazing, right?

The only fault is that I can’t find a link to buy or download it, just in case it’s suddenly no longer available on YouTube.  That would be awful.  The Jane Fonda workout is still great, especially when coupled with Holly’s Arm Circuit.  As sweet as it’s been to take it easy, I’ll make it my business to get back on the road…or on the treadmill because the weather has been pretty bad.  No retreat, no surrender and no excuses!
