Recently my brother sent my Christmas present. He told me to get whatever I wanted done at the spa. I proceeded to pour over the Remedy Spa at Pelican Bay brochure and only three words stood out: Ultimate Rejuvenation Package. Yesterday, I received my gift and it was wonderful. I was warmly greeted and shown to a locker where my belongings would be secured. In it was a lovely card, welcoming me and explaining the itinerary. Having been there before, I had an idea of what was going to happen and knew the ladies who would be taking care of me. I changed into a robe and slippers. A few moments later, massage therapist Emily escorted me into one of their tastefully decorated massage rooms.
After sixty (60) minutes of the Relaxation Massage, I was like a wet noodle. I didn’t know the time and could have had a nap right there on the massage table, but it was time to move along. Emily gave me privacy to dress and then it was time for lunch. The cheerful and statuesque Melissa led me to where my lunch was waiting for me. I’d been to this spa a few times before but had no idea there was a private dining area for clients. As I sat down, my first thought was that this must be what it feels like to be a princess.
Lunch provided by A Gourmet Affair was divine and then I was surprised by a decadent dessert. I nibbled at it but deferred to take it home and share with my family. Then it was time for the Remedy Facial with esthetician Tami. She took wonderful care of me as usual and gave good skin care advice. I felt so clean and once again lost track of time because there was no rush. Next it was time for the Spa Pedicure w/Mint Wrap with nail specialist Delores. This brought up my hardest decision of the day. Which color to choose for my nails?
Delores and I had a great time. Like her colleagues, she took great care of me and did a very good job. The owner, Tim stopped by and I was very glad to meet him because I enjoy going there so much. With my feet looking fabulous, Delores led me to a nearby station for my very first manicure. (Yes, I know) This was going to be a Gelish Manicure which has a more complicated application process unlike regular nail polish. To be honest, I was enjoying myself just looking at the fish while Delores worked her magic. There are aquarium fish all over the place.
All the services were done and I still had time to spare before the taxi arrived. Talk about timing! Melissa got my bill in order and made sure I had my purchases prepared to leave with me. As aforementioned, I never felt rushed and that was because the ladies made sure that even if I had to wait for a couple minutes, there was pleasant company to pass the time. It was a wonderful experience and I look forward to continue patronizing them in the New Year. So if you’re in the Port Orange area and looking for an ultimate rejuvenation experience? Or just want a taste of how (I presume) the other half probably lives? Remedy Spa is definitely where that can be found!
