September Shape Up Day 26: Born To Run?

Today’s task was a Cardio Jog which alternated walking and running for thirty-five minutes.  Inspired by the recent Crossfit Games on ESPN, I put in a few minutes with my weighted jump rope.  I was quite uncoordinated and clearly have to work on that some more.  My sister thinks Crossfit is right up my alley and I’m willing to try a workout next month but I digress.  The walk / run was really good.  I sweat a lot.  Honestly, I can’t remember being so sweaty after a workout in recent times.  It actually soaked through my headband and was dripping off my shoulders.  That’s not a complaint mind you, but a happy observation.  At first there was something that almost felt like a stitch but I said, “No way!” then pushed past it to lose myself in the Machel Montano playlist.

A little while afterwards, I completed the Exercise TV Sports Cool Down routine.  This video has been greatly beneficial to my muscles and consistently reduces any stiffness or pain in my legs.  Lately, I’ve been making a bigger effort to watch my food intake and eat more vegetables.  I snacked on a Promax Bar today and was surprised at the taste.  It wasn’t sweet but certainly didn’t make me feel hyper or bulky.  There’ll definitely be more of these in my future but not too often.  My exercise outfit was a little bit looser than expected today.  That was an unexpected gift.  Today was My Fitness Revolution: 334.
