Day 16: Rest
Sunday, sweet Sunday was a chance to rest and rest I did! Hardly a chore was done and there were at least two naps. Despite the endless nothingness, I ate smartly and drank a lot of water. We’ve finally started using the vegetable steam-pot to steam vegetables. (Huzzah!) It doesn’t take much to get used to the taste, which is delicious by the way. Honestly, I’m not sure why more people don’t eat this way. This was My Fitness Revolution: Day 324.
Day 17: Cardio 360 and Yoga Energizer
Today kicked off the September Shape Up program’s third week and its intensity climbed to yet another level. I didn’t drink enough water today which made me struggle a bit through the Cardio 360. Despite that, I still completed it using the 5lb and 8lb hand weights. I was particularly happy to complete the Delt Flyes with the heavier pair. It’s something I’ve always considered beyond my capabilities and it was hard but not impossible. That’s a recurrent theme in this blog. (*wink) The Yoga Energizer capped off the session perfectly. I’ve actually learnt the poses now, so now it’s easier to just let loose and stretch out. When completely finished, I relaxed for a while before having a shower. I didn’t feel ill but needed a breather. Owners of the Fitness 360 DVD also have a September Shape Up diet plan. It’s different because there’s only one new change per day. For example, I started eating steamed green vegetables last week and have tried to do so every day since. It’s supposed to encourage a permanent change in eating habits, which is harder to do than drinking cabbage soup for a month. I’m tempted to add sugar to my tea, and came very close to having a soda this Sunday. That doesn’t mean I’ve completely given up sugary tea or Apple J; but I’m holding strong for this month because I want change. This was My Fitness Revolution: Day 325.
