September Shape Up Days 9 and 10: Feeling The Burn!

That’s right, no exercise that day.  Well not a conventional workout anyway.  Household chores most certainly qualify as a form of activity.  Not that I did a lot of them but the day wasn’t completely lost to laziness, so I’m pleased about that.  I’ve also made it my business to work more vegetables into my daily meals.  This has taken the form of Edamame Salad.  It’s not particularly tasty but becomes downright delicious when paired with Trinidad-style Stewed or Curried Chicken.  I may have missed the mark when I was supposed to eat three servings of steamed green vegetables; but darn it, I’ve made up for that with interest!  This was My Fitness Revolution: Day 317.

Day Ten: Cardio of my choice for 20 mins

I had every intention of doing the Cardio 360 workout from the Fitness 360 DVD for the September Shape Up program, but changed my mind at the last minute.  Instead, I hit Drago (the treadmill) and it didn’t hit back.  The short run was bookended with five-minute walks.  I could have gone longer but don’t want to push unless absolutely necessary.  I’m going to have Cardio workouts for three days in a row this week.  So there’ll be time for envelope pushing.  Oh, it felt so good to sweat!  After this little run, I can confirm that the Latissimus Dorsi muscle pain is completely gone.  Good riddance!  When the treadmill session was over, I felt like I could do some more and completed one minute of Bicep Curls using the 8lb weights.  You know I couldn’t let them gather dust for another week.  Yeah, they were heavy and I’ll do a little more with them tomorrow.  The Exercise TV Sports Cool Down video made sure there were no kinks or stiffness in my legs.  This was My Fitness Revolution: Day 318.
